Since 2005 walkwalkwalk have created live art events inspired by a routine walk through Bethnal Green's overlooked places. We have accumulated a vast archive which documents the history and mythology of the route. Occasional projects have led us to other places, exploring them through other people's routine walks, found objects and everyday encounters.
For this event we will present a selection from the archive, including original flyposters, found objects and printed ephemera. The 2009 book 'walkwalkwalk: stories from the Exeter archive' will be available to buy, along with other multiples produced for the walk. We will give readings of walk stories...and there will be the chance to sample some traditional walkwalkwalk refreshments.
