Night walk midwinter

21st December 2009

Dear All,

we would like to invite you to join us for a Nightwalk on Monday 21st December (Winter Solstice) to mark the shifting cityscape by recalling its past. Five years have passed since our first Nightwalk, and we will, as always, attempt to find the remaining gaps in the known  through which to slip. Please meet us on Monday the 21st December at 7pm, on the corner of Russia Lane and Bishops Way, E2, where the walk will begin. Nearest  tube to the start is Bethnal Green, or Buses  254, 106, 55, 26, 48, D6 and D3, or Cambridge Heath overground. Here's the streetmap link to the start of the walk:

You can get the walk route map here.

The nightwalk will take approximately one and a half hours but you can stop at any point. It is, as ever, free.  Please rsvp to info@walkwalkwalk.org.uk (not essential but to give us an indication of numbers for  refreshments).

In the meantime, you can listen to a half hour radio feature about walkwalkwalk in London, which will be broadcast on Resonance fm's  'Lost Steps' programme.  Tune in on Thursday the 17th December at 10.30pm, or for the repeat on Saturday the 19th December at 6.30pm.  Or visit http://www.loststeps.org.uk/ where the programme will be  archived as a podcast.

Hope to see you on the walk,

Clare, Gail, Serena and Gimpo
