Nightwalk midwinter, 21st December 2006

with special outdoor screening of a film by Gimpo

Dear all,

we invite you to come and join us on the longest night of the year for a nightwalk. The walk will return to the railway footbridge, flying hut and makeshift buildings; through arches, alleys and dark parks; past architectural incongruities and oddities.  We will pause along the way for a special outdoor screening of a film by Gimpo, before we continue on to experience the new shifts of the city.

You will be led past sites of things that have gone and things that are new to the walk. Whether the places are familiar or unfamiliar the night walk will allow you to experience the city in a new way - eyes focused on the overlooked, no destination, walking for its own sake.

Please come and meet us at 7pm on Thursday 21st December, outside Raj News on the corner of Russia Lane and Bishop's Way, E2 where the walk begins. Nearest tube to the start is Bethnal Green, or Buses 254, 106, 55, 26, 48, D6 and D3, or Cambridge Heath overground. Download a map here or collect one on the night.

Seasonal refreshments will be provided along the way.

Hope you can make it, rsvp would be nice but not essential, just to get the numbers for refreshments,

please feel free to forward the invitation,

Clare, Gail, Serena and Gimpo
